1989 : Christian Rapaert de Grass and Rose-Ann Devuyst take over Camping Memling. A place in decay is taken by permanent inhabitants. There was still no sign of a cosy camping for tourists.
Christian said: « Now it’s a small café with a garden. We are going to make of it the most beautiful camping in Flanders».
1993 : son Mathieu comes into the world. Meanwhile the couple continues to work hard at the expansion of Camping Memling.
2003 : Christian dies a sudden death. The life-work of Christian is continued by his wife Rose-Ann.
2004 : Under the guidance of the landscape architect Jan Maenhout the tent field gets a whole new look. Hedges and apple trees are constructed in bow structures.
2005 : Construction of hard standing places for camper vans. The campsite also gets wireless internet.
2006 : Containers for waste, plastic, metal, carton packing, glass and paper become underground. Sun panels on the showers. Following requests were presented to the town government: second exit to the Veltemweg and a gate with direct access to the Veltembos (woods).
2007: Purchase of gipsy wagons which is available for rent
